From President Wiens:

Welcome to San Francisco! The Officers and Executive Council join me in welcoming each Fellow, Spouse and guest to the City by the Bay for the 88th Annual Meeting of the Academy of Prosthodontics.

 

First and foremost, the Scientific Program Committee under the leadership of Rhonda Jacob has developed a program of high quality presentations, many of which will be moderated by Academy Fellows.  Evidence-based principles, applied to clinical situations, will provide valuable information and guidelines for practical decision-making.

 

Additionally, the Local Arrangements Committee, headed by chairs Bob and Mary Lou Gillis have planned outstanding social events, which will kindle pleasant memories of the beautiful San Francisco Bay area.  The diverse range of cultural interests will provide you with many sites to explore!  On your adventures, don't miss the Fisherman's Wharf, China Town, the Asian Art Museum, the California Culinary School, the Golden Gate Bridge, Sausalito, and even Alcatraz.  Further out of town, there is the beautiful wine country. 

 

Christina and I look forward to greeting each one of the Academy Fellows and guests.  Please join us in the opportunity to renew old friendships and welcome new acquaintances as we share in the camaraderie and warm hospitality, which is a familiar tradition of this Academy.
